Well, I know that it's one of the more "persnickety" titles out there. It doesn't work properly with any kind of memory manager (No XMS,EMS, etc...)
Have you tried configuring it for "no sound" and just run the game's main executable (or batch file). Does that work?
I couldn't even get it running in Win9x. 😜
