How do I configure CGA composite mode?

I select "CGA" on dosbox.conf, but the video output isn't any different from normal.
It also gives me, at startup, a key combination ("Alt-F11"), but all this does is giving a message "hue at xx.xxxxxx", at the status window. Again, this configuration isn't affecting the video in any way.
