Just a little piece of orgasmic news for sierra fans 😉 God I hope this is true, as I'm dying to see if he can come up with something as great as larry. Lord knows we need someone like him these days. 😁

Thanks for the news _58, I just spread it over 2 more forums 😀

Leisure Suit Larry 2 was the funniest game I have ever played, and LSL1 and 3 were also quite awesome. The ones after it were less awesome because you couldn't use text input anymore. I love text input, stupid as I am it makes me feel like I'm actually talking to the character 😜

As Al put it in his "CyberJoke3000" mail today: "I have some very special news that I want to share with you but cannot ...at least until next week."

My site: Ramblings on mostly tech stuff.

News:

"LOS ANGELES, Calif. – May 10, 2006 – Al Lowe, famed creator of the Leisure Suit Larry® franchise, has renounced the leisurely lifestyle of the retiree for a return to the video game industry. Lowe and veteran video game producer, Ken Wegrzyn, formerly of Mindscape® and McGraw-Hill®, today officially announced the formation of iBase™ Entertainment, a boutique development studio that is slated to release an all-new Lowe-created title in 2007 – Sam Suede™: Undercover Exposure®.

Sam Suede™: Undercover Exposure® marks the dawn of a new genre that iBase™ is calling “Action Comedy.” Created with Wegrzyn, the game is set in a sunny, tropical locale with a story that incorporates Lowe’s incomparable sense of humor with puzzle, stealth and action gameplay elements.

“I needed a good reason to abandon my strenuous life of Mai Tais and golf, and this proved to be it,” said Lowe, Chief Creative Officer of iBase™ Entertainment. “Ken and I are creating a game that’s big on humor, and provides the fun and exploration lacking in many of today’s games. I’ve always wanted to play a game about a common man thrust into extraordinary circumstances and surrounded by beautiful women. Sam Suede™ is that game.”

What are the odds? While main character Sam Suede™ attends Mystery Week Fantasy Camp on Ecstasy Island, the resort’s owner is murdered and Sam becomes involved in a real mystery. Sam faces innumerable challenges to the truth before he finally solves the mystery and becomes real detective.

“Al and I noticed how easy it is to find action comedy movies, but not action comedy games,” said Wegrzyn, CEO of iBase™ Entertainment. “And thus was born the action comedy genre, with our first project Sam Suede™: Undercover Exposure®.” "
