ive been attempting to get kyrandia 3 to work. I have the CD, and can get it to work w/out dosboc without sound.

however, i tried to get it to work with sound by using dosbox

i can enter the setup and the sound test works fine.

however hwnei try to run "rungame.exe" it gives me the error

"this program must be run under microsoft windows"

any ideas as to what is wrong? or how i can get this to work?
i installed VDMS sound, and have tried running the game with that, but then the sound card is not initialized or something along those lines. maybe it isnt recognized, one of those. if its important ill check for you.

any and all help will be appreciated! thanks!

I suspect there is some other EXE you must use other than rungame.exe .

Anyway, there seem to have been many threads about Kyrandia 3 in these forums already. See for instance Need help installing Kyrandia 3 under DOSBox .

This means Windows program. Since it is a DOS game as far as I know you are probably starting a stupid Windows based launcher (which will then start the game itself)... Seach for another BAT/COM/EXE file...
