I appologize upfront if this is something that has been discussed before and I overlooked it; it's quite possible that I'm just an idiot.

However every game I play in dosbox results in the graphics skipping and lagging. Mouse pointers skip around the screen, button clicks take a few secconds to register, so on.

That being said, I'd like to point out that it's not my computer making the lag; my system was built for graphics (games, 3d-modelling, artwork, etc) and dosbox's memory useage is minimal at best.

I'm usin' windows XP.

Games I've tried:

High Seas Trader
Lords of the Realm
Master of Magic
Settlers 2 Gold Edition (just running it in XP works better than dosbox, actually)
Pizza Tycoon

...bit of an unrelated note. I can't get "The Horde" to work at all.
