mount with -t cdrom (that is something like "mount d e:\ -t cdrom"

And please post dosbox specific questions in the dosbox forum next time.

1) I installed Rally to E:\Games\Rally

2)mount d f:\ -t cdrom

3)mount c E:\games\rally

4)C: and start with Rally.exe

5)I see the Team17 logo, then the Ocean logo, repeat logo Team17, and in end it close game with:

CD Player Error #1 (Need MSCDEX 2.1) (Child Error #21).

i see in this forum "wrf_dosbox", but is crack?and when i download is it?
or can execute game for another way? because my games is original!

...and step1 is wrong:

> 1) I installed Rally to E:\Games\Rally

Install the game from within dosbox, otherwise the cdrom letter
mapping is wrong pretty sure.

Ok, you mounted both some c drive and a cdrom drive, installed the
game from the cdrom to the c drive and started it right after that, yes?

Maybe try some cvs build, as a few checks regarding cdroms/mscdex
have been added. Also maybe somebody else who has that cdrom
can confirm this error, please.

Personally I do not know other persons of this problem, but I have inasmuch as on the forum of the Team17 of it they speak, but do not say one just answer in order to remove the problem.
On this site one of it they speak, but they say that there is need of these rows: wrf_dosbox.zip I do not know where to find it.
Or I would want to know a various way in order to resolve the problem.

World Rally Fever is fixed in new CVS compile of DOSBox thanks to this update:

* MSCDEX sets word on stack to ADAD if it DADA on entry.

Thank you to QBix for looking at the problem, and wd for support too!

Dear lord, stop posting that crap! Everyone with eyes and a brain has noticed what you've written in various, mostly ancient threads now. Come down! Gee, it must be sad if one's life circles around a single game.

Sorry, I did a search for threads about the game to update them all, but 4 of them were in this same forum! Oops!

And besides that it was the only game of my 360+ games that wouldn't work in XP (well DOS one at least, there's a few Windows ones that won't still (grr, Pro Rally 2001 for example, works in Vista but not XP!))

I'm having the same problems - cd player error #1 (need mscdex 2.1). (child error #21)

If you could PM that .zip file I'm thinking it would help??

Thanks
