I have read the readme, I have read the wiki. I have searched the forums (and found a guy with the exact same problem, no solution). Hell, I have even sacrificed a goat (for good measure).

For the life of me, I can't make it detect the cd.

I have tried every variant of the command (even made an ISO and mounted that in Daemon Tools, and then with DOSBox itself). No matter what I do, it still gives the cd can't be found crap.

Does anyone have experience with this game in particular (apparently Damnal got it to work) or stubborn games in particular? I know this disc works since I played the hell out of it when I still had my 486 hooked up. And everything installed fine and dandy.

I am using a CVS build if it matters.

Yeah. That was the final attempt before I just popped in here.

Like I said. I have tried every variant of the mount command (referencing by number, labeling it, referencing by letter, different drives, the different types of drive DOSBox handles, etc) as well as mounting images in Daemon Tools and the imgmount command.

Yeah, use a debugger enabled build of dosbox and see what
interface(s) they use to check for the cdrom.
Might be something as simple as they requiring a special drive
letter or some dos data field.

Btw. vegetables might work better than goats.
