hey all,

i got command & conquer to woek all but the network play. i have enabled ipx emulation doesnt seem to help. i can get into the lobby but it doesnt see another person.

any help??

Games i got to work

Mechwarrior 2 (with some slow down)
Command & Conquer (almost perfect)
Dungeon Master 2 (almost perfect (no sound effects but music))

You know about 'ipxnet startserver' and 'ipxnet connect' ?

oh k thanks mate will look at that soon. i think i might need to open ports on my router if so, what ports?

(i had a look at ports, i think the only one is 213).

you do know that ipx netplay is for playing over a network and not the internet?

yeh of corse i do, thats why i said network.

i have the ipx over lan enabled so i thik its a port issue but i need to know ports.

dosbox emulates ipx. it doesn't use ipx to transport the data though(It uses udp).
and the portnumber is 213 and can be changed by specifying it on the ipxnet commandline

The Internet is a network that uses the ICMP and IP protocols.

ok i have go it to work

played a game yesterday was great.

it was because of my static ip, i didnt have one up till now.
