Was going through my 2003 game compatibility list today trying to get some of the games to work. Alot of games are giving me the ol' "memory could not be read error", but it's not all the same cause!
Anyway one of the games "From Dusk Till Dawn" was giving me this error message so I loaded up the Windows Debug Tools and it was erroring out on DirectMusic.....which isn't included in 2003.
Dammnit....I never got around to seeing if I could yank DirectMusic out of XP into 2003 for Gothic 2 (Gothic 2 has the same issue on 2003). So I type in "Directmusic + 2003" in google and whatdoyaknow someone has done the work for me! (His solution is pretty rough at the moment....uhhh...very rough, but it works!).
Anyways I'll have to load up Vista to see if DirectMusic is indeed not in there. If it isn't then I doubt using XP files is going to work......I'll let you guys know. If it doesn't then the devs who made Gothic 2 better get to patching.....
