I've been using Dosbox for about a year without incident, but ever since I upgraded my sound card, the sound has been skipping like a broken record. It still plays okay but produces a loud static noise every few seconds. I can probably switch back to my integrated sound for Dosbox, but if theres an easy fix I don't know about, it'd be more convenient.

SOUND CARD - Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 4
SYSTEM SPEED - AMD Athelon XP 3200
RAM - 1GB

I've tried switching IRQs, emulated cards, and cycle speeds. The problem occurs on everything from Genghis Khan II to Crusader No Remorse, and affects sound effects and midi music.

The sound worked fine back before I upgraded my sound and video cards. Do certain soundcards and Dosbox simply not get along?
