If your using DosBox to play your games and not the Windows 98 Command Prompt then you need to run "loadfix" in DosBox before playing your game to get rid of that error message.

Suppose it doesn't care much about your 768mb BECAUSE
it is an OLD dos program?? Think about it.

Does this program have something like a name?
Do you know if it uses extended/expanded memory?
Something about ems/xms in the readme of the program?
What dosbox version are you using?

The programe is called Paradox 3,5.
It's using EMS.
i am using the latest dosbox 0,65.

Try disabling ems and xms in dosbox.conf, or have one of them enabled.

nope it is runing on my second computer.
the program runs in ms dos mode, but you can't program it like you can dosbox, so it is'nt a solution. Only Dosbox.

Just to get things straight: it works fine in dos-mode, but it doesn't
work inside dosbox (bailing out with the not enough memory message).

I only have paradox 4.5 here, which seems to work fine. There are
some test programs included with it, like cputest and emstest, maybe
they are present in your version as well (try the emstest and see if
it runs without errors).
Can you re-install the program inside dosbox?

I am running paradox 3,5 and it does'nt work, only when i REM the Danish keyboard command in the autoexec in dosbox.conf. And i need a danish keyboard layout.
The EMStest and the CPUtest will not run in dosbox, but the cputest works in msdos-promt, but not emstest.

Your keyb is defective then. It's from freedos right? Get another keyb version or use DOSBox CVS (you can specify the keyboard layout in dosbox.conf then).

Odd, seems broken again. I'll try to look into this.

Try "lh keyb xx" or disable umb in dosbox.conf.
You could try to get an older version of keyb, maybe that works.
The next dosbox version has native support for keyboard
layouts as well as codepages, and hopefully keyb works
again then, too.

It is definitely that old bug that slipped into the newest version as well.
As of now try to get hold of the keyb2pre4 version, which is fine.
Both pre3 and 2.00 are buggy, i could not contact the author of keyb yet.
