I know that DOSBox supports running some MSDOS 5.0 utilities within the shell, but it can't run DOS 6.22 commands (files). So then I thought I would try some FreeDOS files, and the one in particular I want to run does not work.

FreeDOS' mem.exe command is much better than DOS 5, DOSBox's own, and almost as good as DOS 6.22. Is there any way compatibility with this can be included in DOSBox?

The one from pcdos or nwdos runs just fine, so does the msdos622
mem.exe (though you need to change the reported dos version in
dosbox, see next release).
