Does anyone know if The Incredible Machine requires any kind of special config? The report indicates that the sound works, but I cannot get any sound. (Otherwise it runs fine) I have the update, and sound dosen't work with and with out Launchpad. I have tried adjusting all of the sound variables, but no go. Thanks.

It can be said that the universe has an infinite number of worlds, and since at least one of these is not populated, than there must be a finite number of people in the universe. The product of any finite number divided by infinity is so close to zero as makes no odds, thus the average population of the universe is zero. It can then be derived that the population of any given planet is zero, and any people you may meet from time to time are merely the product of a deranged imagination.

DosBox? If you mean just running it without VDMS, I did, but I get only crappy system speaker sound. BTW, there was a version of the same game for win 3.1 with better graphics and sound. I believe it was officially the even more incredible machine. Would anyone happen to know where I could find it?

I highly recommend you go to http://www.halfpricebooks.com/ and find the location of your nearest Half-Price Bookstore. I've found the majority of my older game collection. First time I went a few years back, I bought about $80 worth of games. About 5 feet tall when I stacked them. The original retail cost of all those titles was probably well over the $1,000 range. I especially like digging through the clearance rack for the $1 to $3 titles. Since most of these are used titles (that are not cataloged), the variety of titles available will vary wildly from store to store.
