I have a strange problem with my CD copy of Sam & Max... My computer info should be viewable, but to make it easier, I'm running a 2Ghz P4 with WinXP, an SB Live card and an MSI packaged GeForce4 Ti4400.

The game plays just fine, but I can't seem to get both the sound and the music to play at the same time. The effects all play just fine under ScummVM, but there's no music; under VDMSound, I get full music, but no effects. What can I try?

We can see it fine. Now, if only we could get the message through to the near-infinite number of "unregistered" people who consistently leave this out of their posts.

Have you tried using ScummVM with Quick & Easy?

I feel silly. I found the problem after realizing that Sam & Max doesn't use Adlib like other games emulated by ScummVM - my MIDI output was simply muted. Duhhh... =)
