Because
a) There are better emulators with native versions for Windows and Linux.
b) There are Spectrums (I have a +, two +2A and a +3 working!!).
I have traveled across the universe and through the years to find Her.
Sometimes going all the way is just a start...
Yet, it seems quite cool. 😎
Intel i7 5960X
Gigabye GA-X99-Gaming 5
8 GB DDR4 (2100)
8 GB GeForce GTX 1070 G1 Gaming (Gigabyte)
I deleted all the specem games except destiny demo version. I have a really good spectrum emulator called zx spin which i use to play fan made jsw and manic miner games and other really cool user made games and a demo game called farmer jack in harvest havoc. I don't play ANY illegal games. I just use specem to play the demo version of destiny.

I went to dosgamesonline and found graphically improved versions of manic miner and jet set willy.
The company makes new games for old systems.
Before using ZX Spin and Spectaculator, I've been an avid fan of RealSpec for DOS. It's not as updated as it used to be, but it's still an excellent emulator. I'll be curious to test it under DOSbox one of these days.
It is a little too new for dosbox and zx spin seems to do the job for user made games and fan made jsw and manic miner games. I have no illegal games. zx spin supports more formats. Zx spin does the job perfectly.
Spectrum emulator within DOSBox? you pervert!
