This seems like it should be easy, but is proving not to be šŸ˜€

I'm trying to create Bin/Cue files for some of my DOS CDs (for use with DosBox) but it's proving to be tricky.

I downloaded cdrdao (http://cdrdao.sourceforge.net/) with will create Bin/Toc files, and convert Toc - Cue files.

However, when it converts the Toc to Cue file, it gives the message:

Furthermore, if the toc-file contains audio tracks the byte order of the image file will be wrong which results in static noise when the resulting cue file is used for recording (even with cdrdao itself).

Well, sure enough when I play the game with the image mounted with dosbox imgmount, any 'music' playback that would access the CD, results in painful static.

So the question is simple enough. How do you (or what do people use) to create a proper Bin/Cue file combination?

IsoBuster. Last time I bothered I didn't have much luck with the latest ver of i, I had to modify the cue file because it didn't identify the CD correctly. I want to say an older ver of IsoBuster worked fine.

Mechwarrior 2 and DosBox 0.70

I tried ISOBuster last night. Unfortunately it failed miserably. It started reporting read errors on my CD (no other software has read errors found) and locked the CD drive. Had to reboot to recover.

Maybe I'll try a non-beta version...

MagicISO hasn't failed me. If the problem is loading them in DOSBox you can load them in Deamon Tools then mount the virtual drive in DOSBox.

I tried UltraIso. It succeeded where ISOBuster failed.
