Im new to the retro gaming scene. Yesterday i got a hold of a copy of Tomb Raider I and installed it on my laptop, along with glidos. i was so pleased with the results i payed the $10 for the registered version. Everything was going well, and i called it quits last night half way through St. Francis's Folly, and shut down my computer. This morning when i tried to play again, lo and behold, the logo was back.

Now i understand that i can use the unlock feature more than once, but is this going to happen everytime i shutdown my computer? Before you ask, no i did not make any hardware changes. Im puzzled, but then again alot of things puzzle me... hope someone can offer some advise.

I apologise if this issue has been dealt with in a previous post, feel free to direct me there instead.

Cheers

I wouldn't worry too much jsnowd02. Paul (the author of GliDOS) is always very helpful in these matters. If this problem re-occurs, I think he will send you a small test-program you need to run after re-booting. That program will help him determine why the checks fails to recognize your laptop.

Yeah, I'll make sure you are ok.

There were some known problems like this with Vista, but I thought I'd fixed those.

There's also a known problem with network changes: e.g., if you sometimes have yout modem switched off, or you have a laptop sometimes plugged into a network, sometimes not.

Ok, thanks guys... i unlocked glidos again, and all seems to be working ok. I use XP, so vista is not the issue. i am on a wireless LAN, so maybe its network hardware related, im not sure... anyway thanks for your time, il be back if i have any more trouble. By the way, great job, glidos is awesome.
