Can you be more specific?

Set the CPU core settings in the dosbox.conf file - there should be options for "normal", "dynamic", and a couple others I think...

Why did you send me a PM? I have no idea what you're asking about.

I tried that, it didn't work.

Search this forum for instructions on how to use DOS32A instead of that DOS4GW module that I think your program (or DOSBox) is having problems with.

I downloaded and installed it, followed these instructions, and got the error message "The system cannot find the path specified." at "sb /r thegame.exe".

Are these assumptions true?

Then, let's say you meet the following: […]
Show full quote

Then, let's say you meet the following:

Your game is located in "c:\mygame"
The game's file is called "thegame.exe"
You put DOS32A in "c:\program files\dos32a"

If not, tell us what your EXE-file is called, where it is placed, etc.

Also, it seems to me that the instructions at the DOSBox are slightly incorrect. It says:

"sb /r thegame.exe"

Those double-quotes should not be there. It should be:

sb /r thegame.exe

You might prefer to look at this guide:

The game file is "c:\i\simisle.exe" DOS32A was installed in "c:\program files\dos32a" but when I extracted it, the executables appeared in "c:\program files\dos32a\binw". I tried both, with no effect. I also tried removing the double-quotes, with both locations resulting in the error message "'sb' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file."

cd c:\program files\dos32a\binw
sb /r c:\i\simisle.exe

I was able to get "sb" to work, but when I tried to run SimIsle, I got the same error, followed by:
DOS/32A warning (9003): real mode interrupt vector has been modified: INT 1Bh
DOS/32A warning (9003): real mode interrupt vector has been modified: INT 24h

It works!!!!!!11!!!1!!111oneoneone!!eleventyone1!!!!!!111111!;-)
However, I now get a different error 😜 (attached screenshot to follow), but it is infrequent enough that the autosave is useful.

Do you have sound enabled? Does it happen with sound disabled as well?
(that is using the setsound utility)

How do you mount the cdrom if you only have a zip file. I tried downloading some iso's but they were always missing the setup.exe.
