I've connected a 5.1 speaker kit to a SB Audigy Platinum under win98se

When I choose Surround speaker from multimedia property in control panel:
- Speaker test from CT AudioHQ doesn't route sound to correct speakers
Only fron speakers are use
Rear speakers repeat front speakers with lower intensity
During rear testing intensity is decreased
Center speaker is mute, its test is played throught front speaker
- Speaker test from WinDVD6 works correctly

When I choose stereo speakers:
- Speaker test from CT AudioHQ works correctly
- Speaker test from WinDVD6 only works with 2 speakers

Sounds like an Audigy driver issue. Is your sound accelleration turned up?

Sound accelleration is turned up

I tested my 5.1 speaker kit on another win98se pc with SB Live! 5.1
With CT AudioHQ test, all the speakers play the same sound

Are there some 5.1 speaker test independent from Creative ?

Audigy WDM driver for win98 seems to be win2000 driver with a tuned installer
During installation, some data seems to be accessed inside win2000 directory from Audigy CD

Edit: Audio Winbench 99 (DirectSound3D benchmark) works perfectly

Maybe the CT AudioHQ speaker test is using some kind of equalizer preset that WinBench, WinDVD, etc.isn't using?
