Hey there guys. Thanks in advance for your time and assistance.

I'm currently running FreeBSD-6.2 and I compiled the DOSBox source via /usr/ports. The program itself runs like a charm. All my games work, and Qbasic works.

The only thing I can't get to work is the PC Speaker. The config file has it enabled. I will point out too, that my actual sound in FreeBSD is not configured nor hooked up to real speakers.

Does DOSBox actually use the soundcard to play PC Speaker sounds? Or does it use the actual PC speaker? If so, then I wonder why it won't play anything in FreeBSD?

I tried a simple "BEEP" command in Qbasic, and get nothing.

Thanks for taking the time to read my question. Happy New Years.

It uses the sound card for pc-speaker playback.
