Does Space Invaders count?

I thought about that.
A lot of old games simply kept generating new levels and seemed unbeatable, but all computation devices have their limits, so eventually they would "break"; specifically the software (and possibly hardware in really old games) just wouldn't work correctly any more because there was a number that was just too big for it to handle or the algorithm used for level generation wasn't designed to work with a number that big, either case usually being the level number.
That would give you something like this.
I think if you've played a game to its breaking point (without any cheating at all) you can say truthfully that you have beaten it; there isn't anything that gets closer to beating it than that anyway.

I've been getting the feeling I'm forgetting a game. If I am (or if I beat more games) I'll add it/them to the first post.

I have always been primarily a PC gamer - I didn't own a console until the PS2 came out in 2000. When I got my Atari 800 computer in 1982 the games looked more like the arcade versions on it than the 2600 console so I never bothered.

Playstation 2:
Baldurs Gate Dark Alliance
Baldurs Gate Dark Alliance II (all but final boss)
Bards Tale
Drakan The Ancients Gate
Gauntlet Dark Legacy
Jak and Daxter
Ratchet and Clank
Ratchet & Clank Going Commando
Ratchet & Clank Up Your Arsenal
Sly Cooper and the Thievius Racoonus
Sly Cooper 2 Band of Thieves (all but the final boss, never was able to kill him)
Smugglers Run

GameCube:
Metroid Prime

Wii:
Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess

PS3
Ratchet & Clank Future Tools of Destruction
Uncharted Drake's Fortune
