Howdy folks.

Well I came into computing not till windows 95 was first out, couldnt afford a pc till then so I kind of missed the DOS boat and I never learned how to use it or programs like dosbox. So I need some hand holding here.

I got realms of the haunting and I cant figure out how to play it. So we will start from scratch in here and Ill do things they way you guys tell me.

I have the newest versions of dosbox and vdmsound downloaded but not installed as Im waiting to see what all I need to use.

Here is specs of my pc Im trying to run this on incase it matters for compatibility issues or whatnot, thanks for the help.

Windows XP professional
Intel core 2 duo 2.4 e6600 cpu
2 gigs corsair ddr2 800 ram
150 gb raptor hard drive
Sound blaster xfi xtreme music soundcard
Evga geforce 8800 gts 768mb

Here is the exact game Im trying to play (really really wanna play!)

Ok I created the directory c:\oldgames it said.

Im installing the game now through dosbox and the game is asking for installation patch.

Should I leave it at c:\intrplay\roth

or change it to

c:oldgames

Leave it. If possible, always choose the defaults.

Thanks.

Its installing now on the other pc so Ill be back hehe, if I have any issues along the way.

Its actually letting me do the big install through dosbox though which is cool. Without it I could only do the smallest install, guess didnt like the geometry of a 150gb hard drive.

Sound test is working so Ill move onto phase 2.
