hi there could anybody help me I have followed the tutorial to use dosbox to run windows 95 but i cannot get cd support to work Windows 9x DOSBox Guide (Not officially supported). I really want to run starship titanic and alien trilogy! i have the current cvs version. thanks!

ok fair enough thanks for the quick reply. so how comes it doesnt work? and why do games seem to run better in windows 3.1 and 95?

DOSBox is a DOS emulator - a emulator for DOS games, to be precise. The fact that Windows 3.x and 9x do run in DOSBox is more of a bonus, i'd say. DOSBox is not (yet?) optimized for these OS's. You could try one of the many others emulators/virtualizers, like Qemu, VMWare, etc. .

so how comes it doesnt work?

No low-level cdrom driver access (atapi).
