I was messing around with some ancient game called Hunter's Law. To make a long story short, before attempting to play it with DOSbox I noticed it was running unreasonably fast on my HP laptop with 1.73 Ghz and 1 gig of RAM. So I got DOSbox and turned the CPU cycles way down. However, now when I try to run it, it crashes giving me a message that says:

"I SEE YOU ARE TRYING TO CHEAT. IT WON'T WORK. HA!"

So, can anyone tell me if there is a way to disguise DOSbox from games like this? It was made in '92. So far, every attempt at playing it has resulted in the same error. Any insights into this problem?

try running an other application before the game first. (does the game have a setup or so you can run before)
