I've been googling this matter and found the answer to be NO, however all the replies seem to be quite dated (2+ years old), so can someone please clarify whether it is possible to save game states using DOSBox?

Thanks.

Very direct answer, thanks.

Are there any decent DOS emulators which do allow users to save games?

Sure ya can save games dudes all ya gott do is download DOSShell v1.4 found here: http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/Launchers … /DOSShell.shtml

Run DOSShell, and set the path to wherever you installed DosBox under Edit->Preferences

Add games by clicking the green plus-sign icon, then browse to the relavent directory. Usually it's best to select the .BAT file, if one isn't available, pick the .EXE (sierra.exe, or whatever game .exe is)

Double-click a game's icon in the DOSShell window, and you're off!

It's usually f5 for saving games just type save and then to restore a game it's usually f7 and just click on saved game file.

CHEERS 😎
