Recently got my hands on Wing Commander III and fired it up on my 486DX 50mhz + built in crappy CL5428 gfx...as expected it was slow even with latest univbe loaded
So I quickly installed it on my P200 which has a Voodoo 3000 inside it..but this card isn't supported by univbe or the vbe stuff that comes with WC3, is there a vesa driver for the Voodoo 3 is it a dead end and I need to put in a trusty S3 gfx card or my tseng 6000 PCI gfx card?

This might be the same issue I had with my V3 and Under A Killing Moon.... it just wouldn't work. I throw in my S3 and UAKM works great 😒

Once I have my rig back in 1 piece I'll try to remember and reinstall WC3 and see if I can get it to work w/ the V3

Dell Optiplex Gxpro: Built solely so I could re-live my SB16 days properly with newly acquired sound pieces: MT-32, SCB-55, and DB50xg 😀

yeah, VESA support in the V3 sucks

WC III hs some other nice issues...it doesn't like fast cd-rom drives or a too fast CPU....you get alot of read errors with fast/new cd-rom drives and weird crashes and lockup's in the setups and in the game if your CPU is too fast
As usual Origin were lazy when they coded the game
