Hanse / Ariola is older than Hanse / ASCARON. This game is a remake from 1995.

Try to play Hanse /ASCARON on following system:
MS XP SP2
Motherbord MSI K7N2 Delta2
AMD Sempron 2600+ 1.83GhZ
NVIDIA GeForce 6600 Driver 6.14.11.6375
1,50 GB DDR SDRAM

486 DX-66, 8MB RAM, MS Mous, SVGA, Soundblaster you need for the game

Sound is ok.
Grafik start with wrong background colour normal is beige and now turquoise
with - (minus) in the screen see the file.
I hope this informations will help to find the problem. Can I do something like a debug log to find the failure better?

In the normal display you see Lübeck ship, houses, store, etc.

Looks like your installation is corrupt. But even with a working installation
i could not get the game to work, it loops at the beginning.

I install it brand new on two diffrent PCs with DOSbox 0.72 same result. The install CD has no problems during installation. I have no loop an if I finde the right place in the screen I can sell or buy thinks and so on. I don't now if the dosbox works with SVGA.

dosbox works fine with svga/vesa usually, the target chipset is s3.
Maybe try univbe, though it looks more like missing/incomplete unpacking
of the files (try browsing that "Daten" directory).

I try univbe but i didn't help please have a look to log file.
And this game has an univesa.exe and it will start with hanse_v.bat but it doesn't help too.

I set a mount c c:\dosspiele so it is c like in that game 😕

No relevant critical thing in the log. Modes are fine.

Ok I think I found my failure. This game has to be installed in the DOSbox
Before I copy hanse1-3 in a folder at C: and extrakt all files out of the box.

mount c c:\ -t
mount d f:\ -t cdrom -ioct -label hanse

type install an follow the instruction of the game and grafik and game are fine working.
