http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DOSBox

Site was changed recently.....and for the worse.

DOSBox is an open source MS-DOS emulator

No it's not. DosBox goal is not to emulate MS-DOS. DosBox emulates a 486 PC with a DOS like interface.

Original text

DOSBox is a program that emulates an Intel x86 computer running MS-DOS. It is intended for running DOS-based IBM PC compatible programs, especially computer games, which may not run properly on newer PCs and may not run at all on non-x86 hardware or operating systems (e.g. Mac OS on the PowerPC platform).

The original opening paragraph although more bloated was much more accurate.

Considering we have our own Wiki I'm not sure how much we should care.....

Yeah the history is here: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=DOS … &action=history

and you can see the changes and a short blurb about why the changes were made, in this case:

as the paragraph itself states, this is a broad issue dealing with emulation, not DOSBox in particular. so, removing

Of course I guess he fails to realize exactly what DOSBox is.
