OK, purchased Les Manley Lost in LA off eBay (got the disks, box, manuals, circle card, and all). I've already installed one game from floppy (Infocom games) without a hitch. But, Les Manley is giving me fits.

First time, it read Disk 1 and started to install. Got to Disk 2 and it failed.

Retried and now it won't read Disk 1 at all.

Guh. Hopefully I didn't get corrupt disks. Perhaps its the floppy drive (it's a Sabrent 3.5" drive from Amazon). It worked to install Infocom , but no luck with Les Manley. Still have a few other floppy games from eBay coming, which will help determine if it's my new drive or the disks.).

Bummed, because this is one series I never got to play growing up. Not because I couldn't have it, but because I couldn't find it -- my parents let me play all the LSL games, so mature ratings weren't the issue.

I think you could just copy the files from all of the floppies to a directory then run the setup.exe to setup control and sound so you might want to try that if the installation program isn't working, provided you can read the floppies.
