Finally got my hands on Wing Commander II, floppy disk version (7 disks) but sadly disk 6 was corrupt 😢
Does anyone own this game too and can help a poor soul and make an image of it and share it?

Is a file affected? The last 1/3 of the disk seems unused.

I just get a general read error during the install
Tried to make an image file of it on my Mac but it also encountered a read error at the end of the disk
Someone, some time ago, posted something here about a site dedicated to reconstructing bad diskettes.
Found it:

Thanks, just posted there
Haven't got any high hopes though since the forum activity seems quite low
Don't think I would be able to help, my WC 2 was on 5 1/4" so it's the 8 disk floppy version, not 7. That's if I even had a 5 1/4" drive anymore to read them.

Any chance you can part with them if I hand you some $$ ? 😉
Sorry, but I always keep my originals. I still have the discs from my first computer, an Atari 800 from the early 80s. I did zip them up though before I got rid of the 5 1/4" drive so if there is a particular file that you know is corrupt I might be able to get that for you, provided they didn't use different files for the 3 1/2" version.
Problem solved, a kind soul here made an image file for me 😁
God bless this forum 😎
