I have read all I can find on DosBox, and know how to mount at least the directory I made for my games. But information for installing software is a bit lacking. I mount the directory where the new software will reside, then I assume I have to mount the drive where I will be installing from, even if its the A drive?? Then put the media in and run setup or install or whatever its called, I assume the installed software will think its being installed on a regular HD and create whatever directorys it needs ect.? Then run it just as I would on a regular MSDOS computer? Second question I have is, I have noticed there are several frontends for Dosbox, do they aid in this whole process of setup and install, or do they just provide a menu of the installed software and let you pick which you want to run? Oh and one more question, some of my games are on floppys and some on CD, can I mount both the floppy and the CDrom as well as my game directory, I guess what I am asking is, is there a limit on how many drives/directorys you can mount.
