DOSBox in OSX issue

This is kid of a weird one. My issue is this:

I'm running some old sierra games in OSX with DOSBox, and I've run into a very strange issue. When I open DOSBox and manually navigate to the game folder and run it from there, everything works perfectly. However, when I just right-click on the EXE directly from Finder and say "open with" DOSBox, the game still runs, but some elements are missing.

The main thing is this, what is the difference between manually going to the folder in DOSBox and directly running it from Finder? I can't figure it out.

Anybody know?

I guess that when you run it by right-clicking, the DOSBox C-drive = the folder where the EXE-is. But when you do it manually, the C-drive is some other folder. So when the game starts looking for its data files, e.g. C:\GameName\File.Dat, then it might not find it.

wow, that worked! You're right, DOSBox must have made that folder the default C:. I just created new folders within the sq4 folder to mimic the path from the actual root and it worked!!

I'm so excited, thank you!!
