can i run external linux command from dosbox?

example: in dosemu i can type "unix oocalc" press enter and it run openoffice calc, does dosbox have something like this?

i need it becouse i have dos program that must run openoffice.

You might be able to have your DOS-program write a file somewhere, exit, and then let a script do the required action. Like this:

#!/bin/sh

while true; do
dosbox
if [ -r "/some/where/a/file" ]; then
soffice ....
echo Relaunching DOSBox...
sleep 2
dosbox
fi
done
