First of all - thanks in advance for taking the time to read this. ANY help will be greatly appreciated.

I have a program which I need to install. My wife helped me install it on an older PC some years ago but that PC was lost in a fire several years ago. My wife passed away in '99. What little I know about computers I have had to pick up on my own and this is beyond me.

The program in question is the AUTODESK Collection Plus from Addison-Wesley. During installation you are presented with the option to install in either DOS or Windows. Several additional modules can also be installed. This is all carried out via a small program (which I believe is a batch file) which must be installed first called AWCD. This is installed in DOS. This is where I need your help.

Once I get to this point, I need a mouse but because I am in DOS I don't have one.

There must be a way to install this program with the aid of DOSBox.

I can copy the AWCD program, zip it up and send it to you. It is very small - only a couple of floppy discs in size. I can also send a copy of the install instructions as well.

Again, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
SpecterFan

If I missed anything, let me know. Tell me what to look for and where and I'll get back to you.

I realized last night after I posted this that I forgot at least two things:

  • D-Fend Reloaded v0.4.1
    DOSBox v0.72

Sorry for any inconvenience.

I recently fixed a bug causing the mouse cursor to be invisible in certain programs.
