We should actually do more to hide them. People end up using older versions because they either have the mistaken belief that the older versions run better or they use the older version because something doesn't work in the newer version but of course they don't tell us about it.

Seriously there are still people out there downloading and using DOSBox 0.63 for games like Daggerfall believe it or not. 0.63!!! WTF??!!

well I can hide them. I made them all visible recently. (0.50-0.55 or so was hidden).

Heh, there seem to be a nasty rumor floating around about how Daggerfall runs best with 0.63. Not sure how that one started, cause it's obviously not true.

For example, just two weeks ago someone posted on the official TES forums about how 0.63 should be used for Daggerfall.

Usually it happens because old installation guides are kept somewhere
so people think they need the exact version to get it running.
But don't see any reason to have pre-0.65 releases accessible, if somebody
needs them he can contact the crew.

Agreed, hide old versions, I have this problem with my own projects too with people wishing to stick to the old crappy version 🙁

I've still got DOSBox v0.1 here 😎
Just imagine the chaos if people were trying to use this one (although it works surprisingly well 😉)...
