I couldn't really summarize this problem in the title... but here's what's up. I'm using Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy) and I installed dosbox from the repo. Everything is fine, but I find that the dosbox.conf file has to be in the pwd when I launch dosbox or it won't load.

Example:

dosbox.conf is saved in ~/
pwd is ~/games

Starting dosbox will cause dosbox to run as if there is no dosbox.conf.

I've even tried moving the .conf file into /usr/bin
