I sent a PM to a Vogons member, but it seems to have got stuck inside my Messages Outbox for quite some time. This has happened before.

I thought that my message had not been despatched to the intended recipient, because my message has not yet appeared inside my "sentbox".
when it is read it moves to your sendbox. At least that is how I interpret the system and I've send and received a lot of pms 😉

The idea is (I think) that as long as the message is still in your outbox, you can edit or, or even delete it.

My problem with PMs is I never notice them until long after they've been sent:) The PM indication is low key and blends into the header, and I instinctively don't pay attention to the header, focused on new posts instead.
Check your profile option, there's some switch for more noticeable PMs.
