Hey all, if anyone else lives in Toronto, do you think you could help me out? I'm looking for a store that sells older computers that are Windows 95/Windows 98 compatible! I've got a whole slew of old Win95/98 games that I wouldn't mind playing, but all of them either freeze or crash my new WinXP computer. Most of them demand 3DFX compatibility, so I'm seeking something like this:

Pentium II/III 300-400 MHz
128 MB RAM or so..
3D Video card, 3DFX/Direct3d compatible
10GB Hard Drive
Windows 95/98 with original CD and drivers!

If you live in Toronto and have a computer like this, or know where I can find one (new or used) please let me know!

eBay is a store that sells old computers. 😉

Yes, it’s my fault.

I'm trying to play Final Fantasy VII on Windows XP..any way I look at it, I can't play. Everyone tells me so.

And I don't have a bank account, so I can't use PayPal on EBay..

"Everyone?" It's been discussed several times on these very forums, if I'm not mistaken. You'll need the TNT2 patch (which provides general Direct3D compatibility) and the unofficial Chocobo-racing patch (available here), if memory serves.

If all else fails, you can use a PSX emulator. (It might even look and work better than the Windows version. There's a lot of hatred for that Windows version.)

yeh psx version is nicer, especially since you can use the speedup feature in the psx emulators to speed through battles. The pc version also had shitty recaptured videos of the originals.
