In D-Fend reloaded, how do I run loom.exe from a mounted iso automatically without typing anything, when loom.exe is ON the iso? I already tried extracting and mounting to a folder. doesn't work. This is Loom CD, where the .exe is on the cd after install.

I'm assuming I have to use "File path is relative to DOSBox directory structure" but I'm not sure what to type in. I just want to be able to double click Loom in the GUI and have it execute d:\loom automatically.

Thanks!

Make a shortcut. Create a text file. Rename it Loom.bat.txt.
Type something like
D:\
Loom
into it then remove the .txt extension. Launch the batch file and it should redirect into the mounted ISO and launch the executable.

D-Fend aside, as I'm not really used to it,

iirc because it's been some time ago
Loom is just one of those games you can copy all files thereof to HD and run it from there, which is then faster of course and also can skip problems with music playing sometimes

Thanks! The bat file worked. Cant believe it was something so simple as that. Now going to try it with The Dig, which was also similar as I think the .exe was onthe iso. 😀

I just got The Dig working with DBGL the other day. It will work the same way except for setup. You can reach setup from within the game but if you want to add it to D-Fend's menu copy IMUSE.EXE from the CD. If you just point to it with a shortcut, it will try to write the configuration to the disc instead of the local drive.

BTW, DBGL allows you to point to within mounted images. I don't know if D-Fend has this feature.
