Hello.

I am looking for an app that can defragment the Master File Table on NTFS volumes from outside Windows. I know that the infamous Hiren's BooCD can do that (running the Paragon disk partitioning software), but it seems it doesn't work with my current Ati card.

Any ideas?

I have already found some applications that do what I want but they aren't free. I am looking for free apps if possible.

I'm afraid it doesn't work, Harekiet. That tool fixes the bug by rewriting the ntfs boot sector. It doesn't defragment the MFT.

If you want to defragment the MFT, you should wait for version 4 of jkdefrag:

Jeroen has said he's going to release version 4 soon.

Regards.
