The answer of course depends on what you asked, i have no clue.

Any way, next version should have better (fixed) french-layout support.

I think he/she is asking about azerty/qwerty switching (or something like that). Pity, I don't understand French.

Is there no French gaming site that has a "How to"? From Google Translate:

"DOSBox to use French, you must first load the keyboard is the command:

keyb fr

(equivalent to french keyboard)

therefore you will have a qwerty keyboard
instead of a qwerty keyboard

So you can use your old data set in the days of DOS. This is not just believe me"

It doesn't seem to be able distinguish between azerty and qwerty.

from then on, you'll have an azerty keyboard

[have no idea what he's talking about, do the French have an azerty layout? Do cats eat bats? I couldn't tell you--yours truly]

This way you'll be able to use your old databases [sic!] made in the DOS era.
Which is no little achievement, believe me.

which is what he said, believe me 😜

useless for you, maybe, mon cher ami,

but not for those people in France who, albeit wondrously fluent in French, unfortunately lack an adequate adroitness in English, and I suspect it's just for their own sake that Mr. le vieux de la vieille (Garde) posted his post, unless he's a born joker.

Otoh it's only tautological that everything can be useless to those who already know it.

There are actually some excellent French DOSBox tutorials written by Pseudopode.
The quickstart guide has been translated to English by Tagraff.
Having a quick reminder for the keyboard doesn't hurt, though.
