Is there any possible way to play Daggerfall without actually having the disc? I have tried many ways but I always end up getting the error message "it looks like you've got the wrong CD" I have looked thru every inch of this forum but everybody seems to have had the CD. Ive also looked thru various readmes, but they say nothing about what I CAN do without the CD.

The thing I have tried the most is mounting the ISO to an NTFS drive and installing it to my hard drive using the Latest version of DOSBox but to no avail. Somebody plz help me

Are you saying you don't have an image, or that you want to try without an image because of the message you're getting?

If you have an image, I think there was a CD detection issue with Daggerfall that has been corrected, so you could try a CVS build of DOSBox. Also, you can try running "FALL Z.CFG" instead of DAGGER.EXE, but you may have to tweak the paths in Z.CFG if you go that route.

There is a NoCD patch on MegaGames that appears to circumvent the detection issue, but you're mostly on your own with getting that to work.

Try a BIN/CUE, instead of an ISO.

0.72 got a bug that affects the Daggerfall disc detection. Works fine in the CVS, though. At least in one of the older CVSes from last summer 😜
