Hi! New to the forums.

I've been playing Daggerfall for a while now, but a friend of mine is having an odd problem.
He ran the sound setup through the cd's installer, which isn't standard practice for installing this game. I hope that's not where this stems from.
Anyways, he has no sound whatsoever. So I asked him to run SETUP.EXE in Dosbox, but that only returns an error message "Setup.exe can not locate Setup.ini file"
Sure enough, that file exists, so I am now thouroughly stumped.
Any ideas why Dosbox can't run the setup.exe?

What are his mounting commands?

It's usually a BAD IDEA running an installation outside DOSBox and using DOSBox to play afterwards. Do everything inside DOSBox.

We are running everything through Dosbox. With Daggerfall, it's customary to use the HUGE installation, so that you are able to run the game after installation without the cd. This still requires the use of dosbox to install. Setting up the audio outside of the cd only means running setup.exe.
His mounting commands are the same as mine, and I have no problems.
mount c c:/dagger
setup
Dosbox cannot find setup.ini.
The game runs fine, it just doesn't have any sound. I wanted him to run setup.exe to configure the sound ports for what Dosbox seems to use, but dosbox won't run setup, considering it cannot find setup.ini. That is what we need help with.
