I want to play games on a 'w,s,a,d' keys instead arrow keys or numpad keyboard. So I run dosbox keymapper, deleted default binds for 'w,s,a,d',next I assign e.g. up-key for 'w', down-key for 's' etc. Next I run e.g. Lands of Lore and binds don't work. I must still use a numpad or arrow keys 🙁 In keymapper keys are properly binded. Is there any method to play with 'w,s,a,d' keys, not arrows?

How?

Ctrl-F1 for keymapper, next - click on 'w' key, click on Del button, click Add button and finally press up-arrow to bind this key on 'w'. On 's' 'a' 'd' keys similarly. Next time when I go into keymapper I have something like this:
EVENT:key_w
BIND:key_up
But in games it doesn't work. I must still play with arrows 🙁

edit: eh it must be INVERSELY binded
EVENT:key_up
BIND:key_w

Now it works ! 😊

You mean, 'Event' is the key you want to bind to, and 'bind' is the key you want to bind from?

Now I understand the keymapper, too. 😀

The virtual keyboard is what's generated (seen by the app).
