😕 I was wanting to have dosbox get into Master of Orion 2 almost automatically, however, Im running into problems, and I dont know how to get out.

I used the dosbox config editor to edit the dosbox.conf, now it is being weird, it told it to:
mount c C:\MPS
mount e E:\ -t cdrom
c:

however, after the c:, it types joysticktype=2axis automatically, I didnt tell this and now the game runs Superman's OPPOSITE slow.

I tried to fix this, however it tells me when I use the editor to fix the file:
File not correct
section items not 14
program exits...

I was like ok, open the dosbox.conf file using notepad, and it doesnt say any changes under autoexec

this was weird to me so I tried uninstalling the program and reinstall, however it does the same thing, tried uninstalling, deleting everything dosbox, then reinstalling, still the same thing happens. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get rid of the commands, Id rather type everything manually and have the game running tiptop, then having the game execute automatically and running like a**! 😕

Open the status window and check EXACTLY which configuration DOSBox is using.

MIDI:Opened device:win32

Plus, I cannot save the conf with the notepad program

So you're on vista, and don't have permissions to edit that file.
Ask your administrator to edit the privilege settings or use other
means to point dosbox to a different config file.

Start DOSBox directly and not through a frontend...

okay.
Uninstall dosbox.
Try installing it in a different location.
for example on c:\users\yourusername\

thanks for the congrats, but again, please do not mock, you wouldn't like it if I did it to you, patronization is a very demeaning activity, and I do not believe that you that bad, on the inside, so lets just drop the condescension, eh?
