I'm using Arch Linux and recently switched from ALSA to OSS4 for better quality and mixer support - but the sound in dosbox is now all stuttering and unclear - the rest works perfectly.
Is there a OSS optimized version available somewhere or are there any settings i could change to improve the situation?

for dosbox there is the prebuffer and blocksize parameter

but you should checkout other SDL programs as dosbox uses that library to play it's audio
