Hello everyone,

I have downloaded Dosbox and have been enjoying playing all the games I grew up with when I was *very* little on my dad's IBM XT.

I was thinking it would be an awesome birthday present for him if I was to buy a 5 1/4" floppy drive and stick a usb stick inside with dosbox and all the old software I can remember. It would look and feel (at least a little) like the real thing!

I can remember how the old IBM booted up and although I'm probably taking this way too seriously It would be nice to be able to remove the welcome screen so that it says just "c:\> at the top of the screen, like the XT did.

And also, if before it showed that it could count fast from 0 to 16000 to simulate checking the ram that would be awesome... A .bat file perhaps?

Is this possible?

Alex

The command CLS will clear the screen. Put that in the autoexec-section and noone Superman will be able to see the normal DOSBox messages.

Counting? I am sure it is possible with some BAT-programming and a few ANSI-characters to move the cursor and overwrite each number.
