Hello,

I am running Darklands through DOSbox and D-Fend but there is no sound and I am not quite sure how to configure the sound.

Is there a problem with Darklands sound? Is there a specific setting that Darklands requires for sound? Does Darklands even have any sound?

I am not very DOS or DOSbox saavy; any help is appreciated.

Don't use DFend, use an up-to-date frontend (DFendReloaded, DBGL, whatever).
Be sure you're using the latest dosbox version, and that the sound is configured
correctly for the game.

Did you run install.exe to configure your audio settings (probably use SoundBlaster Pro (later), 220/7/1 ?!

Thank you WD and RCblanke.

I could not run the Darklands setup file from Vista 64-bit. But once I downloaded D-Fend Reloaded and accessed the setup file through that, I was able to get the sound going quite easily.

Thanks again for the helpful suggestions; though obvious to the more experienced.
