I think the count on the alien ammo is getting reset to 100 the way the health does for adrenaline. The first few charge packs I pick up aren't adding to it. If I can pick up enough of them in one level to exceed the energy I already had then I see it increase.

Some secret areas are impossible to enter. In level 17, at the top of the map there's a room with body armor and several invulnerabilities. But there's isn't enough room for the wall to move because there's already a wall where it would go. Also in the room next to this there are 2 Bandors in front of the ammo machines. In lower difficulties these remain scenery and block the ammo machines.

I've looked for a patch but I haven't seen any.

afaik it wasnt patched, this game was released years before nearly anyone had the internet so there would of been no way of getting a patch to anyone

I noticed this too. Sometimes the ammo is not added. Are you running the floppy or CD version of the game? I don't remember if the CD version did this too.
Right now I'm looking for ways to avoid Solrac random appearances. That still scares the hell out of me. 😳

It's the CD version.

Here's some other things I've noticed:
The color bars on the default screen size don't accurately represent the amounts I'm carrying. Several times I've kept firing until I was out of ammo and the bar never moved. I have to increase the screen size in options to get the number representation.

If I turn on the visor then load the game the visor is still on and depleting energy. Just the green/red effect is missing.

Visor energy doesn't have a cap on it. Unlike others that go to 999, after 900 another battery takes it to 1000. The last zero is off the blue bar that represents it.

I can pick up adrenaline, body armor, ammo belts, and weapons even after I reached the 999 cap, wasting these resources. Charge packs are the one pickup that works right. If I manage to collect 9 of them the 10th will stay on the floor until I expend some of the energy.

Duplicate weapons increase ammo capacity. I already had an ithica and picked up a second one. After using an ammo station my ammo was over 100. I could carry 600 ammo though I hadn't found any ammo belts yet.

There is also a bug that if you keep your visor turned on and save your game, it will return without the tint, but the visor would still be on. You'll be able to see the Enirams with their original colours (if visor was set to infra-red mode).

Did you see what I wrote about it still depleting energy.

Add to the list that in the alien levels I keep getting stuck in teleporters. I've seen aliens get stuck in them too. I have to use the "no clip" cheat to back into a wall and side step them to get out.

Even though there are no secrets I still get 50% deducted from my rating for not finding them.

Sorry I missed what you wrote. Someone over the net thought that this made the Enirams visible, but he didn't notice the visor was still on.
Another curious thing about this game is the fact that it runs soo slow under Virtual PC, while any other plays normally.

Maybe it's a matter of adjusting the cpu cycles in the dosbox.conf like all the wolf3d based games. But anyways, sucks that this game wasnt patched. It's an awesome game! 😀 Better than blake stone.

Corridor 7 runs slow under Virtual PC, not DOSBox.
Does anyone know how to avoid Solrac's random appearances?

Sorry for not reading the thread, but in that scenario you should try vmware
stuff (qemu et al may be even slower than vpc).

It is not something you trigger so there's no action to take to avoid it. If you took damage from it you could save often then load after an appearance. It really is just random. I saw the Solrac in level 25, as I entered the hallway leading to the room where the Solrac was.

It doesn't cause any damage. It just makes me s**t in my pants. 🤣
