needle nose pliers? (i think i read that in one of my mobo manuals.)

vice grips 😉

actually when fingers just won't do, i use a surgical forceps. also used by fishermen. I cut off the snap locks though so they don't lock closed.

Needle nose pliers work great too.

Yeah small pliers work for jumpers that are stuck on, but usually there's a groove around the top of most half-decent jumpers that you can hook your fingernails into to get a good grip.

Try that with three jumpers in a row where you want to remove only the one in the middle 😉

I hate it when you are trying to pull a jumper out of a drive.. to change the Master/Slave/Cable Select.. and the jumper either A) was put in backwards so the groove HunterZ mentioned is facing away from you, or B) the jumper isn't as tall as the pins are deep. Then you really have to go "fishing".

I avoid using my teeth. There's lead in that old solder you know :p
